Finishing the facades and the roofs of the last huts installed in the Zdroje and Bardo forest districts is underway. The huts are being outfitted with various amenities to improve the conditions inside and encourage bats to occupy them. Scented and, in the future, acoustic stimuli are used for this purpose.
Shredded horseshoe bat guano is poured into the huts to convince the animals by its smell that the place is safe for them and, after all, it has long been used by their fellows. It will be interesting to see if this trick works. A final assessment remains still to be seen.
