On 26 November 2022, the inaugural training meeting of Horseshoe Bat Land educators-animators took place. The training aims to prepare people who will carry out promotional, educational and animation actions about bats, to use the acquired knowledge in social and professional activities. The first meeting was held in the Skamieniałe Miasto (Petrified City) reserve in Ciężkowice. Twenty people took part in the training.

During the first training meeting, participants learnt about places in the Skamieniałe Miasto reserve where bats live. They also expanded their knowledge of the Lesser Horseshoe Bat and practised skills that they will use after completing the entire training as educators-animators of the Lesser Horseshoe Bat Land.

The training will last 11 months and will end in September 2023. During monthly meetings, participants will visit more places in the Horseshoe Land: Ciężkowice Foothills, Rożnowskie Foothills, Beskid Wyspowy, Beskid Sądecki, Pieniny Mts. and Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska.

The training is conducted as part of the promotional activities of the LIFE+ Podkowiec Towers project.
