The LIFE+ Podkowiec Towers project offers the possibility of funding local activities to support the achievement of the main project objectives. The mechanism is available to Polish NGOs.
The application process in the first grant competition, which focused on the protection of roosts of bats covered by the project, has just ended. Four applications were received for the competition. All of them passed the formal assessment stage – complete applications were submitted by the deadline, by authorised entities, activities were planned for the indicated period, and the required attachments were included.
Today, the Commission composed of representatives of the Polish beneficiaries of the Project has started the substantive assessment, which will select projects to be granted co-financing. The total amount applied for exceeds the pool allocated for the competition, so we will not be able to support all submitted initiatives.
We will inform about the results of the competition at the end of May/beginning of June.
